Hello. I’m Angela Tyszka and I have been a professional education advocate in Michigan for the past four years. My heart lies in supporting individuals with disabilities and helping caregivers navigate the resources available for students with IEPs and 504 plans.

I earned my B.S. degree in Community Development and my M.S.A. degree in Leadership from Central Michigan University. After graduating, I dived into the world of higher education, spending 14 years there, with seven of those as a disability services coordinator at a law school. I have attended numerous conferences, webinars, and workshops focusing on disability and education topics. I’ve been active in several professional organizations, been a panelist for Michigan Alliance for Families and Oakland Schools Parent Advisory Committee. I even had the privilege of joining a special education town hall presentation with U.S. Congresswoman Haley Stevens. I’ve been featured on a national advocacy podcast and was a contributing author in an International Best Selling book Pathway to Hope Resource Guide for Special Needs.

Since 2016, I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the Oakland Schools Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), and I was fortunate to be elected chair of the PAC from 2019-2021. I also volunteer as a surrogate parent for students lacking representation in the IEP process, which is incredibly rewarding.

My family and I call Rochester Hills home, where we love spending quality time together. We enjoy trips to the beach, water parks, and amusement parks. Outside of family fun, I am an avid reader, I love listening to podcasts, and I can’t resist a good concert or sporting event. I love being able to balance my passions and experiences!

With over 20 years of experience working with people in the disability community, I’m excited to explore how we can collaborate to meet your student’s needs. Looking forward to connecting!
